Dear Aunt Erin,

I was up coughing ALL NIGHT. I was coughing so hard that I kept throwing up.

Mommy and Daddy were up with me the whole time so they are very tired today.

Mommy paged my doctor (my real doctor, not my aunt-doctor) in the middle of the night and she said I had croup.

WHY DON'T YOU LIVE CLOSER SO THAT YOU CAN COME OVER AND GIVE ME STEROIDS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT???

Instead Mommy left work and took Ella and I to the doctor today. I got steroids and Ella got an antibiotic.

I hope these make us feel better because we are going to see Disney on Ice on Saturday.

Love, your nephew,
Ben

PS - I pooped on the potty for Grandma this morning!

PPS - I later had ED while wearing my underwear and it was a HUGE mess!

PPS - I miss Kenna

The down-side to being the little sister

Were you wondering why my poor, sweet little girl's face looks so beat up all the time?

(notice the scratch AND bruise on her cheek and the bruise on the center of her forehead)

The Answer:

We'll meet you in the food court

This past weekend my sister and her family went down to Cincinnati to visit friends. On their way back home on Sunday we met up with them for lunch and for a little play time at Polaris Mall.

We spent all our money so the kids could ride these silly rides, but they loved it, so it was worth it!

Here is Ben and McKenna on the hot dog truck.

And Max and Ella in the racecar

McKenna on the wild kitty cat

And Ben in the rocket ship

I had to include this last picture of Ella in her legwarmers. (I think I dress her like this because I know I could never pull off this look, even though I really want to!)

We love you Webers! Thanks for making a pit-stop to see us!

It wasn't a tootsie roll

Tonight, after dinner, I decided to give the kids a bath in our tub downstairs. I took off their clothes and ran upstairs to grab their PJs so that right after their bath I could get them dried off and into their jammies. I wasn't upstairs more than 30 seconds. When I came back down, Ella was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs and handed me something.

Can you guess what it was???

POOP!!!

While I was gone for half a minute she pooped on the floor and then picked it up and gave it to me.

GROSS!!!

Be thankful that I did not include any pictures.

Although I will admit that the first thing that crossed my mind was "Where is my camera?"

Ben's ZOO-per 3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday, February 7 we had Ben's 3rd birthday party. It included 75 of his closest friends and family and 8 animals and 2 trainers from the Columbus Zoo.

Trust me when I say that Ben will not have another party this extravagent until he is 16.... or 21..... or maybe even 40!

The party was held at Karen's Event Center in Marysville and mommy worked very hard on the decorations. I think it turned out ADORABLE!!

I had a table set up where kids could choose animal masks to wear and had some other fun treats

The Dessert Table: instead of doing a cake, we had cupcakes with the #3 and cookies in the shapes of animals. YUM!

Here is the Birthday Boy arriving to his party!!!

Not surprisingly, Matt and Ella had to taste-test the cookies as soon as they got to the party.
How about Ella in her beret? It would be impossible for her to be any cuter!

And the guests are starting to arrive!

Some of the OSU gang

My dear, sweet little Hallie

And now......... for the Main Event............ introducing............ animals from the Columbus Zoo!!
The kids were SO excited, and SO well behaved!

The baby kangaroo!! (with zoo trainer, Jo) (also seen with former attorney and soon-to-be-fulltime father-to-baby kangaroo, Doug Smith)

A kookaburra (with trainer, Jimmy). He made it laugh for us!

A legless lizard (which is different from a snake!)

An alligator (or crocodile?)

A tortise

An armadillo

And a 4 month old cheetah named Ray that they are raising with this 5 month old puppy, Ruthie

Saturday was also Kailin's 4th birthday so here we are singing Happy Birthday to Ben (in the mask) and adorable Kailin (in the purple shirt)

Although everyone was exhausted after the party, these were the only 2 who napped

A day with my loves

Mommy has been under the weather this week (aka felt like CRAP!) so we had a very low key Valentine's Day. Although I did manage to get the kids dressed, I stayed in my PJs all day. (I HAD to get Ella dressed because I HAD to see her in this adorable outfit from her grandma!) The kids got new movies for V Day, so we snuggled up and watched Madagascar 2, Annie, and High School Musical today.

I received 2 bouquets of flowers - one from the in-laws and this one from Matt and the kids. The red roses were from Matt, the pink one from Ella and the blue one from Ben. Matt is the sweetest husband! They also spoiled me with jewelry! I felt so LOVED!

Our wonderful neighbors brought us over dinner for tonight! Homemade lasagna and brownies! It was WONDERFUL!!! And the best part was that I didn't have to cook!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful day with your LOVES!!

Shady Reunion

I am so late posting about this, but I have some great pics so I wanted to include it!

Growing up, my sister and I spent our summers at Shady Hollow Country Club and some of our most special friends and memories came from these times. So, the day after Christmas we had a "Shady Reunion" at my parents house in Canton, since a lot of us "kids" were in town for the holidays.

Sarah and her husband Ryan came with their adorable twins, Sam and Jack (and her parents!).

David and his wife Kristie brought their cutie daughter, Dylan (along with his parents!)

Michelle and Jenny came with Michelle's kids, Hannah and Hayden. They are the tallest kids ever. They take just after their dad!

Scott and his wife Melinda brought they super cute kids, Dylan and Olivia

Jason and his wife Cara came with their Charlie Brown-look-alike, Carter. Oh, how I just LOVE him!

And of course, Ben, Ella, Max and McKenna (shown here playing Ring-Around-The-Rosie with Gigi after the party)

There was a total of 12 kids, ranging in age from 6 months to 3 years. (it was pretty funny trying to get them to sit for this picture!!)

I hope we can all get together to do this again sometime soon, because there so alot that couldn't make it. We missed you Marcus and Kerry, Lisa and Jason, Laura and Bill, Andrea, Bobby, Matt, Mike, Kristen, Casey and Chris, and Kara and Jeremy! And I am sure there are others I am forgetting! SORRY!
Here is one last pic from the party.... Ella in her tutu and jewerly. LOVE my little girl!
