We are excited!

Want to know WHY??

VACATION!

Soon we will be headed to Jamaica!  The kids are so excited that they want to wear their swim suits at all times.  And that's fine with me because there is not much cuter than Ella in a bikini and Ben in goggles!

Happy Saturday??

We are under a Level 2 Snow Emergency

My family was supposed to come down from Canton to celebrate Ben's birthday but they are no longer coming due to the snow :(

Ben woke me up at 6:45am because he wet the bed.

Our dog Chase shit on my new rug. Then Ben stepped in it.  Pissed at Chase

Ella woke up w/ horrible diarrhea. I seriously almost vomited changing her diaper.

I made Ella breakfast. Our dog Godiva ate it.  Pissed at Godiva

I made Ella breakfast again. Chase ate it.  Now REALLY pissed at Chase

I got Ben all dressed up to play in the snow with daddy.

I made myself breakfast.

While Matt was in the garage getting ready to plow, Ben got stuck in a massive snowdrift and was sobbing.  I ran outside in my pajamas to rescue him.

While I was outside Godiva ate my breakfast.  Now REALLY pissed at Godiva.

Ben then hit himself in the mouth with the shovel while he was helping daddy remove the snow.  He came inside crying saying he never wanted to play in the snow ever again.

My house looks like a disaster.

I went to the doctor yesterday and had to get on the scale and this is the heaviest I have been in a long time :(

My doctor started me on steroids to help with my cough and tight chest.  Prednisone makes me really crabby.  Can you tell??

HAPPY SATURDAY!!

Can't wait to see what the rest of the day holds!

(at least Ella is happy dressing up in her snow gear)

Is there a doctor in the house?

I am sure at this point everyone knows that we have not had a very healthy January.  Luckily these 2 have been to the doctor so many times that they know how to give a complete check-up.

They are now accepting appointments.  All insurances accepted.

PS - in case you couldn't tell, I am hope from work sick today.  hence, the reason for all the posts!

Bedtime books

I guess she was getting bored of reading "Good Night Moon" and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear".  I think we should find her some new reading material.

No nebulizer pictures

My dad gave me hard time, saying that the only pictures he sees of the kids is when they are doing breathing treatments.  So, this post will contain no pictures of nebulizers, masks or albuterol.  Instead it will be full of pictures of kids, playing and laughing

Last weekend (before Ben got sick), my dear friend,  Marguax and her children, Wyatt (4) and Kendall (2), came up from Cincinnati to visit us.  The kids always have so fun together.

Kendall had fallen asleep in the car on the drive up, so Mags but her down for a nap when they arrived.  The boys, however, felt the need to start wrestling.  After a bit, we thought they needed to blow off some energy, so we bundled them up and sent them outside.

Isn't Wyatt so handsome?

The boys taught Jones, the cat, how to go down the slide.  Poor, buddy!

Sweet Kendall eventually work up from her nap and she and Ella enjoyed playing together.

The kids really enjoyed wrestling with Matt (and Chase had to be involved in the fun!)

Mags and Wyatt
Everyone in their jammies ready for bedAll kids were asleep by 9am, and then Margaux and I fell asleep on the couch at 9:30!

Saying goodbye to our friends on Sunday morning

Thanks for coming, Mags, Wyatt and Kendall!  Looking forward to seeing you in the spring!

Present

Before I tell you about all the things I left out in 2009, here is what the first 10 days of 2010 have blessed us with:

1) Ella was diagnosed with pneumonia. The poor girl was sick, sick, sick

2) We enjoyed some playtime in the snow!

3) Matt started to grow a beard, but than gave up

4) The kids went to the movie theater for the first time with Uncle Todd and Uncle Jeff to see "The Princess and the Frog". (Ella had to wear a tutu, of course! She was SO excited!)

5) Ella decided to showcase her artistic talents by using permanent markers to color on the newly painted family room walls. (she obviously didn't learn her lesson because the next day she colored with the same marker to color on the kitchen counter! Time to get rid of all Sharpies!!)

And we would like to wish a Happy Birthday today to our Gigi!!! I love you mom! You are so beautiful!
