Dear Tooth Fairy -

As you are probably aware, we thought we were going to need your services this week. Ella fell in the lunch room at school on Tuesday afternoon. I received the call at work. I was told she had chipped her tooth, but didn't seem to be any sort of emergency. I left work anyways to go get her. I arrived at school to 4 bloody front teeth.

I immediately ran her across the street to our pediatrician's office (how convenient!) Although we didn't have an appointment, they got us right in. Oh, how I love the physicians at MVP! Dr. Krumm confirmed by fears and there was more than just a chipped tooth and said we needed to see a pediatric dentist.

She gave me a few names of some dentists, but my dad said to call Aunt Carol to see who she recommends since she seems to know ALL the dentists in Columbus. She immediately gave me the name of Dr. Jo-Jo. Dr. Josephine Strickler is a pediatric dentist in Hilliard. They got us in as an emergency on Wednesday morning. She was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend her!

As you can see from the x-ray, the front tooth on the fight is chipped. That was the tooth I was worried about. Unfortunately, it is the tooth next to it that is the problem! It is shoved up and back into her gums. But there are not fractures, which is great! The tooth shoved up in her gums is loose, and should hopefully work its way back down in the next 4 weeks. We go back for a follow-up in a month.

So, Toothfairy, you can go away. We don't need you because it looks as though Ella is going to keep all her teeth for now.

However, we will need you to send the Zazzy fairy. We had to strip Ella of her zazzys because her tooth will never come back down to its original position if she is always sucking on a pacifer. It breaks our heart that we know her teeth are causing her pain, and we had to take away the thing she uses to sooth herself. Thankfully, though, she still has her blankets!

Major Chaser Roo Roo

Mr. Roo -

Thank you for being the best dog and allowing the kids to climb all over you like a jungle gym. You are so very loved.

Can you teach Ivy to be more like you??

The girl's got style

Playground Project - Step 3

The Crew

Matt, Doug, Todd, Jeff, Coco and sometimes Ben

(my job was to keep the kids away from the construction zone which I gladly did by taking them with me to several nurseries to buy flowers, to the Dublin Spray Park and to Nordstroms!)

These guys worked very hard for 2 days in the hot sun over Memorial Weekend. Thank You!!!

Playground Project - Step 2

These boxes don't look too impressive, but they were HEAVY and were full of a MILLION different pieces!

Railroad ties for around the play area

Pea gravel for inside the play area

(the kids are in their pajamas in these pictures. they had already had their bath for the night. they obviously had to have another one!)

Daddy also had to purchase several new tools for the project which made him VERY HAPPY!

Playground Project - Step 1

Note: These pictures are not the actual location of the playground, just from the 1st (of many) rounds of the location planning. Plus, Ben's looks so cute in these pictures helping Daddy!

The picture below is the OFFICIAL playground location:

The gift that keeps on giving

Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends out there!

And especially to my mom, sister, and Patty!

My children were particularly ill-behaved today (and yesterday for that matter). I mean, they are only 3 and 1 years old. How are they supposed to know that they are supposed to act GOOD on this one day???

Are you dying to know what I got for Mother's Day???

Well, here it is!!!

A Rainbow Play System!

We have been looking at playsets for the kids and found this one at Sam's Club and purchased it on Saturday. Play sets can be ridiculously expensive and this one was a great price for everything it comes with!

Trust me when I say I think Matt and I are as excited about this as the kids. This is going to be so wonderful to have right in our backyard!

Currently this little baby is in boxes in our garage, but in a couple weeks I will post pictures when we have it all set up!

Stay Tuned!!!

(By the way, Matt also bought me the 3rd Twilight book, Eclipse. Yipee!! I am so obsessed with this series!)

Daddy's Little Nut Brown Hare

She would NEVER lay on the couch with me like this.

Maybe it is because laying on my boobs isn't comfortable.

Or maybe it is because she loves her daddy all the way to the moon... and back

Forming A Relationship with your Chief Residents

That was the title of one of my APDIM sessions while I was in Dallas.

To be honest, I skipped out on this session. I could write a book on how to form a relationship with your chief residents. After all, this is my 6th group of new chiefs!

It's simple.

All you need is....

And that is exactly what we did.

The night started at dinner at RJ Mexican which was super yummy. We then headed across to street to some bar (sorry, I have no idea what the name was). It was Sunday night. It was 9:50pm. The bar closed at 10. Plenty of time for a shot and some beers! Also some wall graffiti.

Here I am with my boys. I mean chiefs.

Anish, Scott and Deepak

We then headed back to our hotel bar. This is when the silliness started. Thankfully Maria was there to keep us in line! Or was she leading the charges??

Maybe next year they'll ask me to teach the session on relationships with your chiefs! Or not....
